The second edition of the High Desert Home Companion that played to an enthusiastic audience in November, the High Desert Revue is an entertaining, engaging, and funny showcase of Central Oregon’s talented musicians and performers. Featuring music, old time radio skits, story-telling, comedy, and hilarious mock ads, the High Desert Revue will satisfy all of your entertainment needs in one night in the intimate setting of the Cascades Theatre!
The show will be held on February 24th at 7:00 p.m.

To bring you in-depth discussions of important local issues, KPOV broadcasts live each month from the City Club of Central Oregon Monthly Luncheon Forums. The forums occur on the third Thursday of each month at 11:45 a.m.
Tune in Thursday, March 15 at 11:45 a.m., when the topic will be “Fires, Forests and Foes.” Listen to City Club of Central Oregon Monthly Luncheon Forums on KPOV at 88.9 FM or live streaming on kpov.org. COCC and Not in Our Town Director Patrice O’Neil will screen “Not in Our Town, Not in Our Schools,” an inspiring film showing how communities have dealt with hate and violence. The film will be shown March 5 at 6:00 p.m. A discussion on bullying, hatred, racism and bigotry will follow.
The next day, COCC and Patrice O’Neill will host a community organizing workshop on preventing and responding to bullying and hate in Central Oregon. The workshop will be held from 9:00 a.m. to Noon on March 6.
Both events will be at COCC’s Wille Hall in the Coats Campus Center on the Bend campus. Read more ›

The show now airs on Tuesday mornings at 10:00 a.m. Acid Washed Genes features an eclectic lineup of music composed of independent singer-songwriters as well as anything else that might be timely.
