KPOV’s Is Broadcasting Live from the High and Dry Bluegrass Festival!

KPOV is committed to bringing you the best of live local music.

We are proud to be broadcasting from the High and Dry Bluegrass Festival at Runway Ranch.  The High and Dry Bluegrass Festival is an affordable acoustic music festival that runs from August 15-17.  More details can be found at www.highanddrybluegrassfestival.com.

KPOV will be broadcasting from the main stage all day Saturday, August 16 from 12:30 to about 10:15 pm. You can find the schedule of bands on the High and Dry website.

KPOV’s broadcast of the High and Dry Bluegrass Festival is brought to you by Music Makers of Bend, Central Oregon’s Bluegrass Headquarters.

KPOV’s summer radio kids’ camps

Enrollment is open for KPOV’s summer camps!  We are offering several different week-long experiences this summer; three for ages 10-12 and two for ages 12-14.
Sign up now through Bend Parks and Rec.

Youth will learn to DJ, how to conduct and interview, make fake ads, record skits, and generally have fun!

KPOV live at 4 Peaks Music Festival

KPOV has a long tradition of bringing our listeners live local music and showcasing the High Desert’s diverse and accomplished musical talent. This summer we will broadcast performances from these bedrock Central Oregon music festivals live on the air!

  • The KPOV Locals Only Stage at the Bank of the Cascades Bend Summer Festival, July 12 and 13
  • High and Dry Bluegrass Festival, August 16 and 17
  • Bend Roots Revival, September 26-28
  • The KPOV Locals Only Stage at Bend Fall Festival, October 4 and 5.

We also simulcast the Safeway Waterfront Blues Festival from Portland live on July 3-6.

KPOV Receives Two Grants

A HUGE THANK YOU TO THE FOLLOWING FOUNDATIONS FOR GRANTS RECEIVED IN NOVEMBER & DECEMBER:Oregon Community Foundation (OCF)Capacity building grant for 2014 to fund a part-time development director and increase fundraising capabilities through donor development, business underwriting, and marketing.
