Four New Music Shows Joining KPOV’s Line-Up

spinning-records-reducedKPOV works hard to engage our community in creating high-quality media by and for the Central Oregonians.  This fall 4 local KPOV DJs have created outstanding new music shows for your listening pleasure. Already in the line-up are Sasquatch Salon, Mondays at 2:00 p.m. and the Northwest Taproom, Fridays at 2:00 p.m.

A new world music show, Rhythm Trip airs each Saturday from 8-10 pm and new Reggae show JYSoundSystem begins Friday December 2 at 8:00 pm and will air the first and third Fridays of each month at that time.

Make sure to tune in on 88.9 fm or kpov.org.

KPOV Receives a Grant from Oregon Cultural Trust

KPOV is proud to announce that we have received a grant from the Oregon Cultural Trust to support an expansion of KPOVs signal and reach throughout Central Oregon in order to connect with new audiences and better serve existing listeners.  We are very grateful to the Oregon Cultural Trust for their support for KPOV and for arts and culture throughout the State of Oregon.

KPOV receives a grant From US Bank Foundation

US Bancorp check presentation July 2015.forwebKPOV wishes to thank US Bank Foundation for awarding KPOV a grant to fund our programming and operations for the next year. With funding from US Bank KPOV will be able to train more local hosts for our talk shows, including The Point, and continue improving our programming.

KPOV Receives a Grant from Sisters-Based Roundhouse Foundation

KPOV wishes to thank Roundhouse Foundation of Sisters for awarding KPOV a grant to conduct a talk show host training program. This program will provide KPOV with additional hosts and reporters to increase KPOV’s coverage of local affairs, arts and culture, and the services of our local nonprofit organizations. This program will also ensure the sustainability of our important local affairs shows including The Point. KPOV is very grateful for the Roundhouse Foundation and proud of the confidence they have shown in KPOV by awarding this grant.

KPOV would also like to once again thank Deschutes Cultural Coalition, which also awarded grant funding for the KPOV Talk show host training program.
