Learn to Be a Talk-Show Host on KPOV!

KPOV wants you to talk about it!  Microphone The issues and events important to Central Oregon that is — on the air on KPOV.

If you want to be a talk show host on KPOV’s “The Point” and other KPOV talk shows current and future, we have a great four session class to teach you all the skills. The class consists of four Monday evening sessions beginning Monday April 30.

We are looking for people interested in becoming volunteer program hosts, being available as substitute hosts, and/or producing pre-recorded segments that can be played on “The Point” or other talk shows.  The program will teach you everything you need to know to be a successful talk show host on KPOV from how to conduct an interview, create high-quality pre-recorded content, edit for high-quality audio, work the broadcast board and computer, and much more! The program focuses on The Point, KPOV’s daily 9:00 am local affairs show, but the skills will transfer to any talk show.

Experienced KPOV program hosts and people who have already take the DJ training class are qualified and invited, of course.
