Town Hall on Equal Access to Roads

Venue: First Presbyterian Church, 230 NE 9th Street, Bend, OR 97701

Event Description: The ability to drive legally is a necessity, but getting a driver’s license is out of reach for many Oregonians. A bill being considered by the Oregon Legislature, House Bill 2015, would allow the Department of Motor Vehicles to issue licenses to anyone living in Oregon who can pass the driving tests and show ID and proof of residency. Educators, medical providers and law enforcement officials will talk about how the inability to get a license affects individuals and families in our community who need to drive to work and school.
