The Point Wednesday debuts Historic Moments of Central Oregon with Klondike Kate

Kessler Cannon's 1953 conversation with Klondike Kate, who made her name as a vaudeville singer and dancer in Canada's Yukon Territory during the Klondike gold rush, moved to a High Desert homestead in 1912 and then to Bend in 1917.  She became a popular figure around town, earning the nickname "Aunt Kate".
