Early Redmond & Bend will be remembered with a pioneer's story on Friday's Point

On the Friday POINT, Historic Moments on Central Oregon airs Kessler Cannon’s interviews with early pioneers of Central Oregon.  Mrs. Birdie Curd Stadig, who first arrived in Central Oregon in January 1914 from Kentucky., will talk about early Redmond, life in Bend, her potato farm, a honeymoon trip to San Francisco and the diatomite mines in the region. Kelly Cannon Miller, Executive Director of the Deschutes Historical Society sits in as the Friday co-host to add her expert knowledge to the conversation.
