KPOV Summer 2018 Youth Radio Camps

Do you know an aspiring DJ between the ages of 10-14? Or someone who wants to have fun creating radio spots and a show? If so, KPOV’s Summer Youth Radio Camps are just for them!

This camps will teach our community’s youth how to DJ, interview friends, talk on live air as well as tell a story with sound effects, music, and humor. What’s more, KPOV will help this group produce a one-hour radio show that will be broadcast on 88.9! Students will even be able to take home a copy to share with friends and family.

New Show on KPOV – eTown!

KPOV is proud to announce we have begun airing a great new syndicated show, eTown. eTown is a long running live music and interview show that has become a staple in the community radio world. It now airs on KPOV Wednesday afternoons at 4:00 p.m.

Since 1991, eTown has produced musical, social and environmental programming to uplift and inspire listeners around the world. They attract today’s top artists and combine them with champions of social responsibility and environmental sustainability. The eTown community comes for the music, and stays for the message. KPOV is proud to be a non-profit partner of the 4 Peaks Music Festival this year June 21-24, 2018. A family-friendly four day music and camping festival, 4 Peaks brings you the best in bluegrass, jam bands,  funk, and more. Go here for: more information, tickets, and the line-up of amazing bands.

Ken and the Kindred Spirits Now Sunday at 9:00 a.m.

KPOV’s show Ken and the Kindred Spirits featuring DJ Lucky Ken has moved. It is now airing Sunday mornings from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.  Same great show, new time!

PS: Juke in the Back has moved back to its old time of 8:00 a.m. Sunday morning.

Vehicle Donations to Support KPOV

If you have an unwanted vehicle that needs a new home, and you love community radio, then we have the solution for you.KPOV has teamed up with the Center for Car Donations to provide a way that –

supporters can donate unwanted vehicles, raise funds for Bend Community Radio, and get a tax receipt for their donation.

It’s simple too. All you have to do is call 877-411-DONATE, and we’ll come and pick up your vehicle and give you a tax receipt for your donation.Tax receipts are for the year in which the car was donated.  Donations can be made any time.
