KPOV Board of Directors
Michael Funke (President)
Michael has been an active part of the Bend and KPOV community. At KPOV he has hosted talk shows, local news shows, and founded a long running music show. His involvement earned him the 2008 volunteer of the year. In Bend he has volunteered or been on the boards of many non-profits. He brings professional experience in writing, organizing, mobilizing, and fundraising to the board.
Eric Lehto (Treasurer)
Eric has both large company and start up experience in the business world. He ran M&A deals at McKesson Corporation and was VP of Membership at CSAA, with 4.5 million members. He is currently COO at web-based information compny in the medical devices industry. Eric loves non-commercial radio and hosts the Rhythm Trip show on KPOV as dj Thure (his first name).
linda heuser (secretary)
Linda Heuser is a retired Willamette University professor of sociology. She has been committed to community building in her teaching and service work throughout her career. She looks forward to her involvement at KPOV and the ways she can help to strengthen community and democracy through independent, non-commercial radio.
Rick is a business owner focusing on the sales of hardware and plumbing to retail stores in Southern and Central Oregon.
He is a singer/ songwriter and past president of Central Oregon Songwriter’s Association. Rick has been involved with KPOV since 2005. He hosts a show on KPOV, Center Stage, which focuses on Local and Regional musicians.
Judy works at Landsystems Nursery as the Accounting Manager; She volunteers at VegNet Bend and hosts a show on KPOV, All Things Vegan.
Linda Spring is a practicing visual artist and manufacturer of one of a kind apparel. She has been active on many non-profit boards over the past three decades, and currently serves on a committee of the Arts and Culture Alliance of Central Oregon. Since 2014 Linda has hosted the Thursday edition of The Point. On her Radio Active Art segment, she interviews visual artists and arts administrators from Central Oregon.
Shenika is currently an Americorps Community Partnerships VISTA, working with local universities and industries to bring awareness of career opportunities in Central Oregon. She comes to KPOV with experience as a volunteer in a variety of organizations and a passion for volunteering she developed when she was 18 years old. Shenika has been a guest on KPOV programs several times in her work as an Americorps VISTA. She is also training to be a KPOV program host. Shenika brings tremendous enthusiasm to her work on the Board and looks forward to making a strong contribution to KPOV.
Lynn is a small business owner and independent contractor with many years experience in sales and marketing. Lynn has a passion for live music and is a co-host for Center Stage; showcasing local and regional musicians. Lynn is committed to KPOV's mission to provide a voice for the community.
