KPOV has received an incredibly generous $600,000 gift from the estate of Marjo Mynttinen-Goodwin. On Wednesday, October 27, the executor of Marjo's estate, Toni Brown, came to the station to ceremoniously gift the donation. This goes without saying but today marks a historic moment for KPOV and opens up enormous possibilities for the future of our radio station.

Marjo Mynttinen-Goodwin was a lover of music, radio and attending concerts around the world. Originally from Finland, Goodwin traveled extensively throughout her life, eventually splitting her time between Mariposa, California and Bend, Oregon. While traveling between Mariposa and Bend with her parrot, Clyde, the two would sing along to the radio the entire drive.
